Dear Brothers of the Cunningham Division and Sisters of the Daughters of Erin; Hibernians All, American, and Catholic. I am so proud and humble to be associated with these two Orders!
Greetings and Merry Christmas. On the eve of our 2024 Anniversary of our Lord, Savior, and God, my wish for you is that during the past four weeks of Advent, you were able to deepen your understanding of the Week of Hope, the Week of Peace, the Week of Joy and now the ending and beginning to practice and experience the gift of Love.
You are each in my prayers and even though Celeste and I are miles and miles away in cold and snowy New Hampshire, we are still thinking about you. This trip is great for us since we are able to be with the other half of our family; our Son, Daughter in law, and three wonderful grandchildren.
Now for a short business blurb – We Cunningham Hibernians will NOT have an officers meeting on the First of January, Jay does not have enough televisions to watch all of the football games…and besides it is New Year’s Day. We will have our regular business meeting on Jan 8, 2025, at the St. Theresa School. The best news is that the two Bishops of the Archdiocese of the Military Services, Archbishop Broglio and our Brother Hibernian Bishop Coffey will be in attending our Exceptional Fine Whiskey Dinner on Feb 1, 2025. Whether Bishop Burbidge can attend is still unknown. I encourage you to attend; please contact Jay McCarthy as soon as possible. Additionally, if you cannot attend and wish to make a financial donation please let me know. The proceeds of this dinner go directly to the AMS for the purpose of supporting Chaplains in preparation for priesthood and those already in the field.
In closing, have a safe, joyous and very Merry Christmas. I look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
Slainte,
Dennis
